We had a fantastic stay at this hostel. The view over the port was incredible, and we were lucky enough to get a room with a beautiful view. The staff were all absolutely lovely, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The bedsheets were clean and ready, and the apartment we stayed in had all the basic amenities we needed, including a kitchen and common space. The main manager was very kind and we enjoyed chatting with him each morning before starting our day. The location of the hostel was unbeatable, with easy access to transportation and the city's attractions.
Not one thing.

Got to meet interesting people in a crowded restaurant instead of the non-existent reception. The 2-hour wait for someone to show up was quite thrilling. Great entertainment!
Who needs a reception, right? Just have strangers guide you to your bed and do the check-in alone.

I stayed at Ambassade Bretonne Vieux-Port and was pleasantly surprised by its convenient location and affordable price. The atmosphere was basic but adequate for a low-budget traveler like myself. The common room was a nice place to relax and meet other guests. Despite some minor inconveniences, such as the lack of internet and bed linen, the overall experience was decent. The rooms at Hostel Ambassade Bretonne Vieux-Port are cozy and comfortable, with a shared bathroom and bed linen that make you feel right at home. The seating area in each unit is perfect for relaxing, and the wardrobe adds a touch of convenience. As a laid-back traveler, I loved the relaxed and homely atmosphere of the rooms.
If I had to pick one thing I liked less, it would be the shared bathroom. However, this is just my personal opinion, and others might not mind it at all.
